What power differences would you see between 8.5:1 or 10:1 compression on the street and with race gas. Just wondering if the quicker spool up would be cancled by less power due to less boost

This is one of those damn wuestions that noone can really answer because you did not give us enough information.... so I nor does anyone else no the answer to your question. however, running higher compression does help out in every single way considering you know what your doing with tuning and all. I think 10:1 would prolly be a bit high on pump gas and would most likely limit you a bunch unless your really good at tuning and have the right equipment to do so. Otherwise higher compression motor will make more power at the same boost level all things equal (tuning included =).. So no there is no such thing as cancelling out anything, higher compression will change a lot of charesteristics but in the end will give you more power
