Does anyone know how good this thing is? It looks pretty good and the price is good also. It's the Dejon Tool Racing front mount intercooler.

Here is the info KRAZYKOREAN. It's made from a new 28"wide x 10.5"hi x 3"thk side to side flow core. End tanks are 1/8" thk aluminum. Inlet and outlet are 2 1/2"dia. beaded tube. The IC is all TIG welded. Keep your A/C. Trimming of bumper is required. The core is $699 and the pipping is $200 for the upper and lower pipes. $899.........Not bad at all.

Has it been pressure tested? THat seems like its a nice core...prolly a spearco 2-216... 899$ aint a bad price for it. Doesnt seem much different than the IRC cores

RNR sells an intercooler kit too. The price for there kit is $960 and it comes with a Spearco core, and a 3" cold air intake tube with a K&N filter. Very nice kit also.

i don't really like the endtanks, it won't give even flow through the whole core.

i know a place that has super good prices on spearco intercoolers. endtanks in a variety of different designs. the 20x8 core with 2.5 inlets is 350.

well the 216 is 3.5x10.5x28 and I dont know of any other cores that are that close in measurement. maybe he measured wrong and it is 3.5" thick cause it sure does look like one =)

New company? They have been around for years, they where kind of like and RNR Racing when he started and then the wait killed his reputation. I've heard of people waiting over 6months to recieve there goods.

Back to the dejon IC, it does look like the 2-216 but you said it is 3'' and the 2-216 is 3.5'' thick. I agree that those endtanks don't look like the
best design.

:EDIT: Candela baet me to mentioning the size of the endtanks

Where?

Yes well the endtanks do look a little "unpolished" maybe giving a little bit mo' pressure drop I guess eh. ANyhow I like how the UIP is one unit eliminating the elbow cause it bolts to the throttle body directly.

The Race FMIC is a great option because it isn only a little more than the street kit. You might as well get the Race core if you are going to spend that much money on it. The Dejon kit isn't the 2-216. You must also take into account the endtanks on each kit. All the kits on the market will meet all your needs, but it's coem down to which kit will kit you best(price, looks, support, lead time).

Each company has it's own design and style for their FMIC kit. They are all pretty much the same, but their our some differneces in design, style and looks. We personally have Spearco(the best welding in the industry) do all our endtanks so they will look and perform outstanding. This also gets our customers their products faster so they don't have to wait on us making the endtanks.

the dejon tool fmic core i believe is a core made by Charged Air Systems but i could be wrong. I know darkside racing uses CAS FMIC cores. dont know about dejon tool but they look pretty close to the same.

I really like that to. I suppose the smart thing to do would be to create a kit with the most minimal bends and connections as possible. I wish all kits came with that first elbow off the t/b, thats rather inovative.

I think regardless of the endtank positions, what core is actually being used (its big enough for my tastes), and depending on tests/reviews, I think this FMIC will be a kit to concider (at least for me) :p

All of those sound nice...I need something with the IC pipes going to the stock locations and i want to keep my fogs.Looks like I'll end up getting a Big greddy unless someone has some ideas. Thanks

$995 shipped to my door. Now that's a great deal. Everything I need is there, including the slimfan. Only the A/C fan needed to be replaced so the pipping would fit. I can't wait to get it. This is a good addition to my new turbo. As you can see my cruise control will not cause problems. I have a 1990 GSX so that's where my cruise control sits.

I would like to piont out that the RNR kit dosen't come with the intake pipe in the picture you can purchase it for and extra $150. But I think it is still a great deal for the kit, and it is the one I will be getting as soon as the Gov. sends me my check!
