Ok my 93 tsi crankwalked...badly. I got a non turbo 4g63 block for cheap and plan on rebuilding it with 90 rods/95 pistons, .020 over, removed balance shafts and then putting my head off the turbo motor back on it. Any thing else I need to know? I appreciate any help in advance guys.

The n/t blocks do not have the oil squirters. You wont be able to push a lot of boost with the n/t block

there's no bung for the knock sensor behind the #2 cylinder, but i think there's one behind #3.

NT blocks don't have oil squirters. the provisions are there, though, all you need is to bore them out and tap them. other than that they are exactly the same. head is the same also, exhaust cam and pistons are different in the NT.

i was doing more reading today about the lack of oil squirters and from what I have read its the upper oil squirters that cool the pistons...but what i read was that when people build the motors they get rid of those squirters becuz they are of no extreme benefit.
