alright i guess the spectrum start on ebay with 20-30 buck no name intakes, then theres the normal k&n cone, then k&n fips kit and then there injen. Also available with as a combo with injen BOV.

Heres a summary with prices:
$30 - no name intake with adapter
$70 k&n cone with adapter
$120 k&n FIPS
$200 injen intake
$235 injen intake with injen BOV

What would you recommend for the best bang/buck ratio?

well i saw it on ebay,
if you go to ebaymotors and search for eclipse injen, youll find it (theres only like 3 items)

I am not sure about the rest of those on your list, but I have used the K&N and I am very satisfied with it. I purchased it originally in 96 when I bought my first GST and still have it in my 99! Still works like new.

I have a question about the Injen intake, since he mentioned it in his original post; I've currently got a K&N FIPK, and I've been wanting the Injen intake pipe to replace the stock accordian-style pipe, but for some reason I remember seeing somewhere that the Injen intake pipe won't fit behind the MAS and K&N, and that I'd need a shorter filter to get everything wedged in there.

Any truth to that, or is my memory playing tricks on me? I love the look of the Injen intake pipe (although I'd be happy with any mirror-finished intake like that from someone else), but there's no way I'm giving up my K&N. ;-)

On a related note, does anyone have suggestions on finding decent-looking caps for the nipples left behind on the intake by a manual boost controller? I've fashioned a ghetto solution for now, but I'm not exactly thrilled with it. ;-)
