Is a 1g bov really a good upgrade for a 95 tsi? like, polished and flanged and all?

Definately. The 2g's have cheap plastic Bov's and aren't recommended for increased boost. 1g bov's hold more boost. and even better upgrade to a decent greddy or TurboXS.
