So I'm sitting here going over my plans on modding my car, and all the different companies say differnt things. And it's driving me nuts. Anyway, here's my plan.

1. Air filter and MAS adapter, $28 from www.ebay.com
2. Defi D-Gauge Boost/EGT/FP, $464 from www.mvpmotorsports.com
3. Full-length Triple Pillar gauge pod, $50 from www.gaugepods.com
4. GReddy 2G Upper and Lower Intercooler pipe kit, $200 from www.turboimports.com
5. Greddy S-Type BOV, $177 from www.turboimports.com
6. MMi Racing ULTRA Dual Stage MBC, $129 from www.dsmparts.com
7. Thermal Cat-back, $516 from www.mmrusa.com
8. CATCO Universal Catalytic converter, $70 from www.prostreetonline.com
9. Pace Setter Monza Hi-Flow Downpipe, $175 from www.prostreetonline.com
10. Greddy Turbo Timer with harness, $100 from www.roadraceengineering.com
11. Apexi S-AFC/Rc 550 Injectors/Walbro 255 fuel pump, $699 from www.dsmparts.com
12. More to follow (still trying to figure out what size turbo I want to run)

Now, here's my problems. First, Downpipes. According to road race engineering, having a 2.5 section before the flex is better, agreeing with this is exhaustdepot.com, who also says that it helps reduce creep. ??? Isn't a full 3" downpipe better? I thought the o2 housing/wastegate was the creep fix?? Next, Catalytic Convertors. I want to run one, but I don't know what will fit. The one that I've mentioned above (3")doesn't have the hangers on it, yet every one I've seen with them are around $150. Does it matter if it has the hangers? Or can I get it welded to the downpipe and catback and call it a day?

And of coarse if you know of a better part, or cheaper place to get it please let me know. Thanks for the help guys.

Full 3" is not necessarily "better". Besides, everyone's needs are different-- what's better for one person may not be better for somebody else. Anyway, my personal belief is that 2.5" before the flex is fine-- the argument you usually see for that is that since the exhaust gases are hotter, they flow better, so 2.5" is enough. Makes sense to me.

Well yes, you could get it all welded together and call it a day, but you'd have more flexibility if you got it flanged so you could switch in a test pipe whenever you wanted. About the hangers, I don't know. I recommend getting all the exhaust stuff from one place, such as RnR, to make sure it all fits together.

Really instead of spending 516 on just a cat-back you can get a whole turbo back 3inch 02 elim system for just a little more.

I've been looking into that as well, but with where I live, I have to keep noise levels in mind. I know that the thermal is one of the quieter systems out there. I was looking into the RNR turbo back, but they don't use a cat, so that's out, I was also looking at the AHP system, but have heard a lot of bad things about the company. So if you know of any quiet turbo back o2 eliminating systems with a cat, please inform me. Thanks again.

One more, forgot it earlier, I think it was AHP that says that having a larger flex section in the DP is better, compared to I think rre saying that having a flex section hinders performance. I tend to trust rre but would like opinions.

Yet another question, is it possible to put a differnt tip on the muffler? I've been looking through the gallery and it looks like without a tip, it sits really close to the back of the car. I know you can get a four inch tip from them, but I'd like to get a duel tip so it looks like the factory exhaust. Will this stick out from the back of the car?

Probably depends on which muffler you get. I will e-mail or call them and ask.

Thanks, I'd call, but right now I'm kinda stuck in the middle of a desert in the middle east (gotta love the military) I did email them already, but didn't ask about the tips, just the cat. Thanks again.
