I installed an autometer boost guage and tapped it into the same hose that is in the vfaq pages. It seems to work fine. My question is why when the pedal is floored is it reading 13-14 PSI? I thought that the 2g was only supposed to be at 10 PSI stock. I do have an Injen intake system but I did not think that this would matter. Is there something that I should do? Thanks

oops, i just posted the same question...DOH! i am getting 14-15 psi max boost and about 20in Hg at idle. what are you getting at idle?

a stock 1g 14b wastegate actuator will limit your boost to 10psi....a 2g t25 actuator will limit boost to 13-14psi and about 15psi with the orifice removed from the bcs....if you want more boost you will need a boost controler....16g actuator may be the same as a 14b, but i'm not sure...hope this helps.....

I think the confusion lies not at the wastegate actuator, but at the blow-off valve. 2G BOVs leak "around" 12psi, from what I have read. I can only get my boost gauge up to 12 with the stock 2G BOV and UICP. If your stock BOV happens to hold more than that, then good. I think that most don't, but I'm still a noob mostly. You will replace it eventually anyway, most likely. Then you can run 15 psi no problem, although I think the T-25 will only hold that in the low to mid RPM range. In the higher RPMs, you will probably see it fall off to around 11-12 again. Please, someone straighten me out if this is incorrect.

you're 100% correct...i automaticly assumed he had an upgraded bov...my t-25 would hold boost up to 15psi, after about 5000-5500rpm's it would fall to about 12-13psi(this is with a 1g bov and no mbc)...the little turbo just couldn't hold the boost up...i then put a 14b on the car and couldn't figure out why i was only getting 10-11psi...thought it may be the wastegate not closing all the way so i pulled the vacume hose off of the actuator and took it for a ride...that resulted in me blowing the lower intercooler pipe off at about 22psi...turns out that the wasegate actuators on the 14b's limits boost to 10psi...if you want more you need a boost controler to turn it up...
