eprom differences?

first off, sorry for the noob sounding question. i was told yesterday that a 90 eprom ecu pin setup is different than a non eprom ecu pin setup. i told him he's full of it. basically what ive always believed is that any 90 turbo car can get an eprom whether it had it stock or not. is this right? thanks in advance.

You can get an EPROM, but you will bend the pins trying to get it to stick in the dashboard.

On a more serious note, the EPROM and non-EPROM ECUs from the same build groups are pin-compatible. There's a pinning change between 90 and 91+ which is detailed nicely on the vfaq.com Electronics page.
