Ive asked this before with gettin nothing but, Get a FMIC replies.

I am buying a used Hahn sidemount off a member, I plan to run a T28 to its max potential (~350hp). The hahn should be good for that, the dejontool might come up a little short since it only is rated for 335hp.
The problem with sidemounts is they heatsoak so fast. But if you buy a intercooler sprayer from twitch that wouldnt be a problem.
I know the sidemoutn at ~350hp will be holding me back a little, but I am going for the sleeper look as much as I can.

Have you thought about going with a Supra (MKIV) sidemount? They're quite large and handle a lot of power on Supras. You can get them for around $100. I would go with a MKIV sidemount over the Dejon Tools (not to take anything from them, they make awesome stuff) and just save the $300 for something else.

Well honestly for the price of the hahn ($599) you might as well get a FMIC. But the Dejon is more affordable.

The Hahn is 270 cu. inches, 92% increase over stock ic. It has 1 psi of pressure drop at 400hp. Heres a pic:

On Dejon's site they say 68% more volume than stock, and rated for 335hp.
Hahn is 92% more volume and they speak of 400hp.

But like I said, I am buying the hahn used, thats why Im gettin it. You could keep your eye out for one on the trader tho. I think it will be a pretty good ic, definately the best SMIC.

Is there an issue of either the Dejon or the Hahn big sidemounts hanging lower than stock?...I don't wanna start smacking the bottom of the IC on the ground...that = BAD

i wouldn't think so. from the comparison pics on their site it looks like its wider. I pplan on getting one fo those also, I'll let you know how it works out.

I have the Hahn smic and there are no ground clearance issues whatsoever. It is a direct bolt on. I bought mine used so I saved mega bucks, otherwise it is costly. The quality is absolutely great!

Did you notice any difference????????

Right now, I'm in negotiations with a guy to buy off him a "Supra MKIV sidemount", it should more or less the same results.

How is it performance wise?

On hot days you can get in a lot more fast laps without worrying about heat soak. A cooler charge of air correlates to better performance.
