Getting a GSX.....Help?

I have a 2002 Harley F-150 for the time being. I want to buy a car that you can fix up for pretty cheap but run at least mid 12's. I went into the local import shop the other day and I explained what I wanted to do to one of the guys and he mentioned an eclipse or a laser. He said you can get one pretty cheap and get them to run pretty quick for nothing also. I want to keep it like the smaller body style I think they are 90-93 probably an eclipse would be my first choice. My question to ya'll is 1 Do you know any that are for sale ( I want one that isn't in the best condition because i'll probably strip out the interor and paint ) and 2 What are some of the good performance companies out there that deal with these cars ( I only want the top of the line as far as quality and performance gains) and how much am I looking to spend on getting one to run 12's if not faster? Thanks for all the help and any info will be greatly appreaciated.

He pretty much said it... You should get all your answeres there. And just for the record... Read up on all those performance upgrades... they are all almost VERY SIMPLE to install YOURSELF!!! Ask around, maybe you could get a buddy to help you. Cause I'm sure you don't want a shop to charge you $20 to install a FILTER.. I don't mean to assume you'd do that, just I've seen it a MILLION times.

Thanks....He said something ( He being the guy that told me about this car ) about you can put a downpipe and air filter and run 12's. Is this a little far fetched or can you help me out with this. How much would it gost to get a stock one to go in the 12's?

on a 1st gen awd, you can slap on an exhaust and turn up the boost and alot of people can manage low 13s if not high 12s
