Hey

I was wondering if there were any fmic's out there that don't require you to cut anything. I don't mind drilling holes, just don't want to cut

Thanks

FMIC'S, i've seen a few sidemount that bolt right up but they don't cool as well i think

thanks for the responses

Dont forget you also have to cut the bumper.

I am not sure of any FMICs where some modification to the front bumper cover. I could be wrong though. I have an HRC and a couple friends have Apexi and Greddy. all of them required cutting of some sort. My HRC required very little though.

what about the starion ic. i've heard of people swapping it out but can someone tell me if its actually worth it or is it to much trouble

thanks for the help

i can only speak from a 1st gen prospective, however the cutting is not a big deal. a good sawzall and a few metal blades will do the trick. don't waste you're time with air tools or grinders. grab a reciprocating saw or sawzall. it will cut that front bumper support like butter. don't let the cutting scare you its not that big of a deal

Just be kind of carefull. I borrowed a cordless reciprocating saw thinking I would be siting there for 20 minutes just making a 1" cut. I was shocked as hell when it instantly sliced through an inch in about a second.

It it really is no big deal.

What about the Stillen FMIC?

Stillen Website

It looks kinda small but it doesn't look like you would have to cut anything to make it fit.

Does anyone know anything about it?
How does it compare to a Spearco, Greddy, ect. ?

That would be a plus for me... I have the Stillen front end. But I don't I'd actually ever spend money on a front mount that is that damn small.

Here's a friend of mine's car: GReddy FMIC behind the Stillen bumper:

Does Stillen still make that front end? It isn't on their website anymore and I would love to have one. Do they just not advertise it anymore or did they discontinue it?
