I have an unusual question for you guys. Currently I only have 2 nuts and 1 bolt holding in my passenger seat as I cant get the bracket to line up for the left rear bolt to go in.

I wasnt to worried about this because the seat is secure with the 2 nuts and 1 bolt I have in there for now, atleast until it warms up and I can pull the seat back out to try and align all 4 positions. Anyway my friend told me that with Honda's the seats have a certain stress point I guess you could say where one of the 4 positions holding it in is the strong point and without that one bolt/nut the other 3 are pointless meaning the seat would give and could rip from the floor in case of an accident.

My question is is it the same with a DSM, is there a strong/weak point for the bolts/nuts on the brackets and if so which bolt/nut is strongest point?

Larry,

I am not sure if this is your problem, but the same thing happened to me a few months ago. Is this an OEM seat or an aftermarket seat with a universal rail.

If the former, all you have to do is align the slider so that it is in the same slot on both ends. When I was rushing to put my stock seat back in after trying an aftermarket set for fitment, I could not get the darn stock seat to line up. After about 15 minutes of cursing, I simply pulled it out and saw that the slider on one side was askew of the slider on the other side. Pretty simple to do when the seat is out. I would simply pull the bolts out and play with the slider until the holes line up. The best way would be to remove the seat and visually make sure that the slider slots on both end line up....

these are rails that are made for the 2g Eclipse specifically for Sparco seats. They fit fine in my GST, just not in the GSX.. its only off by 1/4 - 1/2 inch. Im going to pull the seat again soon.
