gettign alot more pull for sure. my bud with an AWD talon bigT28 who got his installed was pullin like a bat outta hell too. very noticable improvement.
only the temp gauge in my stock cluster isnt working....could this be a bad wire on the MAS? or where should i look. i bet i knocked somethin loose (the gauge in the far bottom right of the stock cluster)

there is a sending unit on the theromstat housing. i broke mine off by accident and rendered the gauge useless. so check that. its called the "coolant temp sender unit" i believe.

where would this be located

-Should be under the coolant filler cap, that particular guage sensor only has 1 wire(on 1G), so your could be different.
-I also just finish installing a MKIV SMIC, I use big truck's 2.5" coolant hose as couplers, but they keep popping off at 16psi, even with "T" bolt clamps. I'll need to switch to silicone couplers.

Its the single wire gauge, the dual wire is for the ecu. Alkso, thats becaused 2.5 inch is too big an IC pipe, der, if you were using 2.25 youd be living the good life. also hairspray it before you put it on when iyt dries it hold it very nicely

if you can....flare the pipes at the end (if they are metal uicp's. do this by bending out the edge of the pipe a little all around.)

oh yea dont break your temp sender...its $13 for that little POS. screw that. i am gettin out my soldering iron!

How did the Supra SMIC installation go?:
-Did you have to hack anything to make it fit?
-Did you have to buy any extra parts?
-How much did you end up spending?

Thanx,

-On mine(1G), I cut(disc grinder) away the passenger side tow hook to route the lower IC pipe throught it. RotoZip away about 8" x 8" of sheet metal underneath the air filter area, extend the upper IC pipe(self made).

-Did you have to buy any extra parts?

-$90 on the SMIC, 2 ft of 2.5" steel pipe, one 2.5" "U" bend, one "J" pipe "U" bend, eight T-bolt clamps, one silicone hump coupling, one silicone adapter for 2.5" to "J" pipe, one foot of 2.5" silicone hose, one tube of RVT silicone, 4 ft of water heater steel strap, nuts and bolts.

-For those with pop-up head lamp, cycle the pop-up to make sure the IC pipe is not in the way of the pop-up hinge. Good look.

to make it fit u need to pound the living hell out of the frame in one spot (its not an important spot)

you need a 2.5"-3" metal adapter (pep boys for everything)
a metal strap thing for mufflers
some 2.5" radiator hose ($20 a foot....see if anyone else has some)
hose clamps

thas about all. i got mine off a guy in the supra forums.

Supra sidemount on a 2g

-I didn't need to pound the fram at all on my 1G, might be the 2G is different.

-I flipped the bottom tank around instead of the top tank, so the black bracket is on the outside by the bumper, top photo on the above link.

does anyone know where to find info on how to install a supra sidemount on a 1g awd? I cant seem to find a site telling how to do it. I tried vfaq but I couldn't figure out where it is on there and when I tried search on my computer, it says I don't have permission.

i had that problem with my car, so i put it up and got under it and i found out the wire came out and it ripped *maybe because my cars lowered?) so i put it back on and wired it back up and its fine now
