Hey guys,

This weekend, I had the pleasure of going to Norwalk Conn, for the grand opening of a new speed shop. The place was pretty tricked out, and the shop had previously been open for quite a few years doing work only on Porsche track cars. Saw a bunch of GT3's and cup cars being worked on. Gotta love turbo Porche's :thumb:
Anyway, I had the opportunity to get my car put on the dyno at the shop for some baseline Stage 1 runs (Intake, 1G BOV, Test Pipe, Boost @ 16Lbs.). I wanted to see the pre and post differences the 14b would put out over the T-25. The dyno that they were using was NOT the roller type that you see at the DMV and most other shops. Instead, they had a four wheel suspension-type dyno, where four individual, portable brake dynos connect to your hub assemblies. Your wheels are removed for this. Here's my question. Whenever the car was run over 3K RPM, the engine would shake violently, and one of the tech's said that he saw the ABS system modulating. Now, I was not aware that the ABS functioned when the brakes were not on, much less when you weren't really breaking traction. We pulled the ABS fuse, and the tech said that he still saw the brakes modulating. The engine shook again. Needless to say, if we couldn't get the car to rev over 3K, we couldn't get a reading. We didn't have time to pull the ABS computer (not at $200.00 an hour!), but it still doesn't make any sense. It doesn't do anything like this on the road. I can break all four tires loose all day with no ill effects. Has anybody had this issue before? Anyone know a fix? I want to go back and get the car dyno'd!

Thanks,
Matt. :dsm:
