Will my engine hold up?

Hi,

I think you have to give us a little more about your setup. Like how much boost do you plan on running? Or do you plan on making any more fuel system upgrades? Is your profile up to date? But, like most things, it will depend most likely on how good of a tuner you are.

If you don't do something about that fuel system soon you could blow your engine with the 16g on a hard run.

I do not see any A/F monitoring or data logging systems included and without those you're SOL on figuring out how well your vehicle is running. You'll need a wideband O2 setup (sensor and controller) and at least a pocketlogger to see what kind of knock you're pulling.

With a 16g and boost over 15lbs you'll definitely run out stock injectors in very little time at the high end. You'll basically run out of fuel and end up running very lean and pulling a great deal of knock (predetonation). This is the formula for blowing a motor especially with the higher compression of the Wiseco's.

With the other mods (fuel, A/F monitoring, ecu monitoring) you can run a 20g on stock internals.

yup.. you for SURE need to upgrade the fuel system a bit, but without a tune, your car is a time bomb.. especially if the boost is up higher than stock.. nothing is worse than opening your motor and finding your ring landings on your pistons broke to shit, and most likely a very f***ed up cylinder wall as well... tune tune tune... setting up datalogging is actually pretty cheap.. the software is free, the PDA is about 30 or 40 bucks on ebay, and a premade cable is about 30 as well.. datalogging for about 30 minutes worth of work and under $100.. ooo yeah...

check it

Palm M100 PDA Handheld personal attendant Palm Pilot - eBay (item 270227213584 end time Apr-16-08 09:30:34 PDT)

then just download a program called MMCD.. its datalogging software for the palm...

then go to ebay, or pocketlogger.com and find yourself a datalogging cable for a dsm.. and you are all set.. its really nice proggie.. I never got use it on a real palm, but I used a laptop with a palm emulator and I loved it.. its just really handy to know what is going on in the engine.. even if you cannot tune yet, it will let you know how much boost is too much boost
