I have a 92 gsx and I'm looking into a 3inch turbo back exhaust. I have seen a few downpipes that have an O2 eleminator which dumps to the open air. I was wondering if anyone has this and how much does it help. Does it sound like ####, and does it do anything to help boost creep.
Thanks for the help:D
One more thing has anyone welded there own exhaust and how hard is that, is it worth it. (time/effort/money)
thanks again

It will help with boost creep if your wastegate is big enough.

Yes, it does sound like ####. :)

Some people love the sound of the O2 dump some hate it. There was a thread on here a few months ago where we argued over it. I personally don't like it as it just draws way to much attention to your car when your doing the very thing you shouldn't be (speeding + loud open exhaust = problems with cops)

I'm into the 100% lagit setup where cops pull you over just dieing to give you a ticket and your setup is so lagit they can only admire under you hood and feel like a loser for pulling you over :D

There is a performance gain from it as well. On a H22 we did a turbo kit and it started as atmospheric and eventually the guy didn't like it so we put it back in and he lost 2/10's from a low 13 second 1/4 mile time. We figured about 10hp from re-routing it back in. It even felt slower on the butt dyno too right after we finished the work and went out for a drive. It was wierd.

Its only loud when you get in the throtle, but you get used to it. Just like you get used to a walbro. Fast cars werent meant to be quiet :D
