Well, I ordered a Dejon Tool 3" intake pipe for a 1G from Diamond Star Motorsports, and I got it today. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to fit. The rubber around the end seems to be too large to fit under the bracket thing for the wastegate actuator. Is it possible for me to get it to fit on there, or do I need to get a 2.5" pipe?

i was wondering the same thing. if i could go ahead and get a 3'' for seeing as i don't wanna get one later on when i upgrade my turbo. i thought i read somewhere that it can work. hopefully it can, if it can't then i guess we just have to spend the extra money later on....

I had the same problem where the coupler would not fit all the way around due to the wastegate bracket. After much trimming it eventually fit, however I just turned to Home Depot racing for a nice plumbing reducer, 3 inch to 2.

Good Luck

Those dejon tool intakes are a pain in the ass to fit. Everyone I've put on didn't really fit. Normally those home dpeot connectors suck ass, but there really isn't much pressure there so they will work (they're a little slimmer than the dejon couplers). If you can't get it to fit try that.

Great, thanks a lot for the advice. I really didn't want to return it.

I can say from personal experience that IF you can find a rubber coupler like the one that you use on the intake pipe to the intake manifold that will work perfect. My dad used to drive a semi truck and I found one laying around his truck yard. You can check at a hardware store but I am not sure. If you can find something rubber like that to fit you wont have to even worry about boost leaks. (even though not much could leak from the waste gate actuator. Just my .02 opinion. Let me know if you find something. Later

I bought the same intake pipe and hade the same problem. i found a reducer at bakerprecision.com i got the 3" to 2.5" reducer and it workes great
