my can't won't go over 3000rpm when i gas all the way. it just like no power at all. what's wrong with it?? I changed the header gasket. and i checked the head gasket it all good. so what's the problem inside.??

It's probably something very simple, like you popped off an intercooler hose. Check all of the connections from the turbo to the intercooler, and from the intercooler to the throttle body.

You probably popped one off, or one broke. Visually inspect it.

Do yourself a favor, visit this website:

and build yourself an intake leak tester. I've used mine a few times now, and it's useful.

Also, check to make sure your turbo didn't shat the bed on you. When you pull the intake to the turbo off to do the leak test (when the car is off of course) reach your fingers into the turbo, there should be a shaft with a nut that sticks out towards the open end of the turbo. It should be able to spin freely. It is OK if it can move up and down a little, but not in and out.

Hope that helps,

I had a similar problem today. I tried to make a custom intake out of piping from Home Depot. The only thing is the rubber tubing I had was not rigid enough and was flexing/collapsing on itself. When I would hit 4000rpms it was like hitting a rev limiter and I would lurch and have to shift gears. I put the stock intake back on it until I can get an aftermarket one like the dejon tool 3inch one.

i was thinking maybe the intercooler piping come off.. but anyways my car is in reapir shop now and they will check on it.. I just worry that i have some parts gone and cost me alot. thanks guys
