PSI help

Ok, well after looking at your mods list, i see that you're stock.

Stock psi is at about 12 psi or so. Since you dont even have an aftermarket blow off valve (i assume) You probably wont be able to run anything higher than 14-15 psi. My suggestion is that you get yourself an aftermarket BOV (or the stock 1G) and an aftermarket upper intercooler pipe. With that you'll probably automatically get around 13 psi.

Then you can begin to increase boost to about 15 psi with a boost controller. Manual or Electronic, it dont matter. Same difference only one is more $$$ and more bling bling.

I dont however recommend you going over 15psi on your stock T-25 turbo as well as on your stock fuel system.

Hope this helps... g'luck and be careful as you begin to modify your car.

well see if you keep the stock BOV it will leak boost too much. Get an aftermarket one and you should be able to feel a difference. However your T25 will die out after 5,000-5,500 rpms or so.. and will drop boost from 15... down to about 12-13 or so.

For now, if you want to keep your stock turbo, work on UICP, LICP, BOV and a MBC. That shouldn't run you more than $175 or cheaper if u get used stuff... and if you are a good driver you should see some way better numbers in your 1/4.

There was a thread on here about how much each psi = HP+
It should be up at around 6-7hp each psi. Remember you'll need support mods (including fuel) to make each psi well worth it.

WAIT!!! hehe im in so much hurry (cuz i got to go to work in a minute) that I almost forgot!!!!

IF YOU PLAN ON RAISING YOUR BOOST, GET AN AFTERMARKET BOOST GAUGE!! THE STOCK ON SUCKS AZZ!! ITS NOT ACCURATE AT ALL. ADD THAT TO YOUR "TO BUY" LIST AND YOU SHOULD BE OK!!

sorry for the caps! ;)

i know i need a boost gauge soon.

i think that im going to get the power package from extreme with the gauges and uicp + bov or apexi catback n1 and high flow cat

which one you think i should get

yup when i got my car the stock psi was 14 on my boost gauge but im running a 1g bov uncrushed and have the boost solenoid restrictor done along with the k&n cone filter and a high flow cat and my psi now is 15 to 16 but every now and again i get a spike that goes to 17 or 18 but quickly dies down to 15 again then around 5K on up the stock T-Too slow kills the psi to 13 hehe but i have a jdm 14b in my room im just waiting to get an install kit then i can start on that :) hehe just some of my info for you guys
