Not worth it for the money it costs. The only people I've seen do it is Jun on the Super Lemon Evo5.

Why do you think it isnt worth the cost? I see a lot of benefit for a bit more than a normal race motor.

i am also biulding a 4G64 motor with a 4G63 head. I was planning on getting a new rebuilt motor and then this option came out and i went with it. Seems to be a good choice so far.

I guess when I think of it that way as buying a race motor 2.3 vs a race motor 2.0 it's not much more money so Your right I just was thinking of it vs a regular motor.

uhhh
buschur runs 2.3L motors....

I'm fairly certain Eric Plebani did, too.. maybe?

and I *KNOW* bruce K. ran one in conquest and will be running one this year in his "cah"

magnus is going "all" 2.4L which is doing pretty well.

All it requires is a 4G64 crank, stock length 4G63 rods and stroker pistons.

I've surfed the vendors and can put one together with a new crank for 1300$.

For the cost of just getting nice rods and forged pistons, all I have to do is buy a new 4G64 crank, which the price is offset by the fact that a used crank would require some sort of freshening anyway to be worthwhile.

seriously, do you have nothing better to do then find every old 2.3 thread and bump them up over a year later

Do you have nothing better to do than troll this site and point out the obvious? ;)

I'm closing this because it's so old that I'm sure there other more relevant 2.3L threads that have come up since then, Hell even I didn't think it was a good idea back then.

I was such a kno0b
