i payed $90 for this solution plus $15 for new flowter

if this is so rusted that u can take flakes of rust out and the nuts brake off
i got 2 out , 3 broke off and 2 were so rounded off and rust welded that
needed to be chiseld out with a air hammer.

then to loosen this nuts will take some force and will bend the hard line a bit
the problem is if your line is so rusted that this will leak, you need to get a replacement sending unit.

now to try not to mess too much with this side u go under the tire and find the other link and try to open it there, guess what , same story hard line is in bad condition and will brake off.

so brake it then cut the line clean and open it wider with a tool then use a rubber gas line and clamp it . then go on top and cut with demel the metal attaching the ruber line to the nuts this will free a plastic nipple and u can clamp the other side of the new gas line.

now on the inside of the floater on top of the gasket use silicone ( as much as u can )for preasure and gasoline (belive me there is only one, most say not for gasoline) and tigten the screws that u have left. then betwen the borken studs use selftaping screws and using as much silicone as posible tap the tank then use silicone ontop of the screws.

now i had to do this instead of replacing the whole gas tank because the 6 bolts that hold the tank are in the same shape as the floater bolts. if your tank fastening bolts are in good condition just replace whole tank because the floater screws are atached to the tank.

Here's what mine looked like. The fuel line broke and I somehow had to run a new wire. I'll post a picture of what it looks like now later on today.
