I have a freind who is looking for a frontmount for a 1g automatic, his car is all stock. He got in a fenderbender and his stock sidemount got smashed, so he's taking the money that a new sidemount would have costed and getting a new frontmount, whats a good one to reccomend to him?

Well. . . what does he want out of it? What turbo is it being used with? And how big does he want it do be? And finally, how much does he have to spend because even a "budget" FMIC would be around 6-700.

You can also go through and search for what people are running with that turbos. Also go through the "sponsors" page. But most of the cheaper FMIC's are from the sites i listed, unless you go ebay. But i DEFINATELY warrant against it. Personally i'm either going with the "street" FMIC from extremepsi, or the "budget" 1g FMIC from diamondstarmotorsport.

But make sure you find out the questions i asked at the top, that will help decide how big a FMIC he will need.

Check out Extreme Intercoolers as well.

^^^ I second that.

They fit well, great quality, and I'm more impressed with the kit that I got from them than the one I got from Dejon Tool. The prices are right too.

But, he needs to take into consideration what his goals are. The Extreme Intercoolers 'street' kit is rated up to 450hp. I'm sure that would suffice for almost any plans he has in the future.

Well, I don't think he really needs a FMIC then. Maybe go with a Supra sidemount? They're huge, and that little 13g wouldn't ever need more than that.

People on here have had good luck with eBay kits, as far as I've read.

It's pretty long, but people showed their experiences with them too.

With so many good companies out there making really nice FMIC's for dsm's it's not worth it (to me) to save a couple hundred bucks and get an ebay core and piping. I just don't trust it. Good experiences or not. I'd rather pay the full and get something real nice i know will last.

If he's just looking for something small and budget look at the dejonpowerhouse "street" FMIC. It's bigger than stock, but small enough to run his 13g through i'm sure. Or the "budget" FMIC kit from diamondstarmotorsport.com.

How much did he get from insurance to cover the cost of the stock sidemount?
