Cry02 fuel bar?

waste of money IMO. Unless your running pure alcohol or Methanol the added effect from running "COLD" fuel is going to be minimal. With meth you have a 2:1 AFR so it would have a much more dramtic effect. I would go for a alcohol injection. That works great can be used for just high boost applications and is cheap to refill.

Fuel temps become important when you heat the fuel up to much. For example, if you're running 500hp and have 2 walbro 255hp pumps. If you were road racing this car, the underhood temps combined with the heat put into the fuel from the pumps would increase knock because the energy the air fuel mixture needs to ignite would be less than normal.

I'm not saying this is a huge problem, but it is a problem that many racers look into and solve with fuel coolers, this thing, etc.

It's been proven the temperature of fuel doesn't have any or atleast noticeable effects on horsepower. I don't see how it could effect performance in any way even if it was cooler. Air charges throughout the whole motor, but fuel does not. Eh, may give you peace of mind knowing it's "cooler"...

Food for Thought BTW- Condesation will occur.

Also remember when you take a liquid and go from a compressed state to a uncompressed vapor state it is going to be cooler. Forgot the physics behind it. Something about energy transfer or something not to sure.

And in road race apps. I can almost maybe see your point when carberation is involved. No line pressure and the high road heat will take the fuel in the lines to a vapor state causeing what is known as "Vapor Lock". But cooling would need to be done at the tank to stop vapor lock. Fuel injection their is 30+ PSI of pressue from the pump and not an issue. For endurance races that last longer than an hour your probably going to have to run a fuel cell and it won't be getting heat transfer from the road. If not running a fuel cell painting your tank white will kill about 90% of the heat transfer from the street.

Either way if you are at the point that you need to squeeze every last bit of HP from everything then this would be something to think about. Otherwise not worth the money. Not saying it doesn't do anything just it's so minimal it's not worth the cost. I have a buddy who races Stock car class under Bush and he spent $3K on a set of headers that gave him 9 more HP. I thought it was crazy but it was a situation where you are looking to get every last drop of power and stay with in the rules of the series.
