I hope this is in the right forum, I accidentally unsubscribed my last thread. I am having problems with my new turbo set-up on my 95' gsx, I think it is mass air related and am trying to find a 2g in the area that i can switch mass air sensors, just to see if i narrowed down the problem. And also looking for some guys in the area that could possible give me advise, see for them self what going on, This thing is so damn confusing and i am relativly new to this kind of problems. anyone who knows these car in the VAN NUYS,CA area HELP!  :(

i put on a new turbo setup 18g,external gate, new pipes and bov GREDDY, 190 pump, and did some testing up and down the block and the car ran awsome for about ten defferent times then on one run it felt like i hit a fuel cut off, i got off the gas and when i touch the gas after the car slowed down it wanted to stall. it barely made it back to the house. i looked at everything i can think off all the lines to see if there was a leak, the plugs look good, no water in oil or vise-versa no smoke, no engine light, I took it to Turbo-performance for them to look at it. This is what they came up with so far. they unplugged the mass air meter and the car iddled rough( expected) but you can drive it and even hit boost(doesn't excelerate very fast) again expected with no mass air installed, But when you plug in the mass air the car iddles perfectly but you give it anygas (even just reving it) and it shakes, misses, smells super rich, and hit any boost...... that is the best i can do for explaining it.... sorry for the long story..... i dont want to buy a mass air until i know if that is the problem... HELP!

Have you changed your injectors, plugs, wires? Or how about your fuel pump? How high were your EGTS when youy were doing the test runs?

i definately want to go over there but that is a good 40+ miles from my house and i don't know if it is good to drive the car that long with the mass air unplugged

well, it could be your injectors, maybe one of them closed up and did not open again. If I were you, buy an egt gauge as soon as possible. Don't mess with boost unless you have that. How many pounds were you at?

I am running my external at 7lbs just from the spring rate. I will get an egt guage for christmas. I ran a compression test and all the cylinders were in the 135-145 range. I also notice a miss and my vacume seems to be low (around 16 in) at idle but a little unsteady. I still can't get someone who would let me switch mass air for a second to see if i can narrow things down. Snoop-GST are you still up for it? I never heard back. I tried to go to RRE but the car wouldn't make it a mile. This is so depressing.....

Did u step on the gas all the way when u did the test? those #'s sound really low of a 2G motor.

I warmed up the engine then took out all the plugs. Screwed in the tester and then floor the gas pedal and cranked over the motor. My compression tester has a memory for the highest recording.
