Ebay Downpipe

I have got a ebay downpipe, havent got a chance on running it yet(still building) but mine looks good, the welds look tight. Why not? even tho its not much more for a Apexi N1 downpipe i think?? Try it out and let everyone know:thumb:

That looks alot like the Megan racing downpipe. I think a bunch of guys here are running that. If you do a search you should be able to get some info on it. Personally myself I go with quality/reputable names, so that I only have to mod once. It may be a great deal but if it craps out and you have to buy another, it ends up being not such a great deal. Take SSautochrome in description & photos their products look great but then go read all the post telling otherwise.

I also thought it looked like a megan, and I've heard some good things from them so far. I just got it for $90, so if it does turn into a pile of crap, I didn't lose much. If by making mine bigger, do you mean I have to port my O2 housing? I was planning on doing that all once I swap my s16g in. Just getting all the supporting mods done with my t-25 on yet. it looks like it necks down to bolt up to a factory cat, so I'll probably just bolt it up till I get the rest of my exhaust built for me then cut the flange off and put a new one on before the neck

I have that on with a ebay catback... i'm not paying 700 bucks for some mandrel bends and some welds... but if i were doing fuel... well that would be a different story

so who has this installed on their car? cause i was also looking at getting one asap. did it bolt up properly?

Hey I bought that same one for my 97 GSX. Weld up some 3" piping out the back and you will have a MEAN soundin machine. Clearance is about as close as you can get, rattles sometimes. But it does the job that for sure and looks sweet. Took me from a 15.46 to a 14.63 with that downpipe and 3" out the back.

I bought a no-name downpipe from ebay. All the listing said was 2.75" inlet and 3" outlet and that it was made of stainless steel and that was all that I wanted. There was no picture included and it was $102 shipped to my door with insurance. I recieved it and it was made by Edge Racing. The welds were beautiful and the piping was so large. No neck downs at all. The only thing i had to do to fit it on was cut the bracket that holds a few oil lines to the block and make the bolts on the O2 housing wider. the routing and bends and hangars were right in the right place.

I don't like how that thing necks down at about every point that it could.

I believe that, that is just a generic photo and probably isnt a exact representation of the downpipe, but its possible that it could be like that, with the neck downs a such. make sure you fully read the descriptions.

This is the exact downpipe i won and it has a 2.75" inlet and after that its 3" all the way through and its stainless steel great product:thumb:
DOWNPIPE

I bought a downpipe from ebay for my 98 GSX. It was megan racing, however, mine does not look like the one thats showin in the original post. Installation wasn't all that difficult considering that I did that in my driveway. My downpipe has just 1 curve as it comes down to the flex and then straight into the exhaust (no cat). It also came with extra set of gaskets. I paid $125 shipped.

Anybody know where to get a true AWD 3" downpipe that fits without modification and possibly eliminates the cat?

Why do you need a true 3 inch DP? Do you have a large enough turbo that has a 3inch outlet on it? If not then you dont need a full 3inch DP. But Bushur and SBR both have em.

Though it is a waste of money to pay for a DP when you can go to a shop, order a 72 degree mandrel bend get a flex and have it welded for $10 at a muffler shop(or free if you or someone you know has a welder.)

My whole exhaust that I just built and am about to put on the car has cost a total of $150 and that is a 2.5 inch inlet DP directly to 3 inches all the way back. A hella of a lot better deal then paying the $500-$800 people on here pay for exhausts.ROFL

I have a 2g AWD Apexi n1 downpipe forsale... It has cat elem. and an o2 bung welded in... 140shipped...

Just thought I'd throw it out for you guys if anyones interested im me @ hkswrx420 <- AIM

Unless you plan on taking your o2 houing off, cutting the studs off and drilling them out to replace them with smaller bolts so the 3in Megan DP will fit without having to dent the DP. Just get a better DP.
