Ok I searched and searched but found nothing on the topic, so here goes my post...
I've seen people that setup their 02 dumps to exit out the side of the bumper (just infront of the driver's side wheel). I always liked the way that looked, plus I was always afraid of melting something important inside the engine bay. But I was wondering if their was a company that makes this dump or what because I noticed that every car I've seen like that, has the same metal guard that goes around the hole where the pipe comes out. Also if anyone with first hand experience can tell me how loud this makes it...I mean on one hand, it's not echoing off the ground; But on the other, it's closer to the driver's window, so I wonder how loud it would be when you drive around with the window down? O and does anyone have pictures of a car with this setup? thanks.

Now if the problem is a restriction in the wastegate passage in your O2 housing, the external dump should solve the problem, at another price, loud noise when the wastegate is open. Also smaller turbos spoll fast, and will have the wastegate open a lot more than a larger slower spooling turbo, it can get annoying, take my word for it. Might not be for everyone, or a daily driver, but I like it. The tip has a bit of time in it, I spent quite a few hours with a grinder and belt sander until I was satisfied with the profile. It started as a 1 7/8 inch straight stainless pipe and ended up what it is.
