I am considering the JM fab SMIM. Anyone using it? Commments? Thanks, Mark

I bought and installed one of Jim's intakes based on what a few guys who had one said along with Jim's blurb on his website and price/quality. Still looking for somebody who has seen some actual results be they dyno or track. Even seat of the pants at this point because I will not be able to run mine until nearly May being here in central, NY. Thanks, Mark

Id also like to hear from some people using this, ill be buying one in the next few weeks. My main concern is the fact that it sits much lower then stock and how much modification is gonna be needed to make it all fit

I just completed mine. I bought new injector quick release clips and pigtails from dsmotorsport.com, $30. as I ran the harness under the new intake as you will want to also. I had to extend the injector wires to reach from below and the quick release are nice anyways. I removed the hard plastic on the harness and unwrapped it all the way back to the last injector. Then everything would reach from under the intake and the rest of the harness comes out on the passengers side and to the thermostat housing and 02. Very clean! The coilpack will fit onto the side motor mount bolt by enlarging the hole in the coilpack bracket and grinding down a bit of the motormount. This places the coilpack pointing straight up. Not as tough as it sounds. I just bent the other holes that I did not need back and out of the way. Had to remove the clip that the harness clips to from the coilpack so it will reach, no biggie as it slides off with a little push!
On to the passenger side. The battery will not fit because the elbow was moved out. I got a HONDA battery, 5" wide and all will fit now in the stock location, just need to fab a holddown. Mine is a dejon elbow, yours may fit differently. Then I needed to change the short route IC piping which meant buying a straight 2.5" piece of polished aluminum from fullthrottlespeed.com for my TIAL BOV flange. That is it. Since my car is in winter storage no biggie for time. Looks great, clean. I would just like some performance info. I have a couple of high 11 sec runs but will not be on the road until mid April to see what it takes off. Hoping for mid 11's anyways and not a big loss down low. mark

cool thanks for the info id love to see the pics of the setup if possible. from what im seeing and i have been talkin to jim asking questions, the low end loss is very little wich was a big concern for me too from the little mods that they have on the car they test theese on i can only imagine how it will perform with good mods like yours (checked out your mod profile) and mine too, i am gonna be adding fp2 cams at the same time as the manifold that will definaltely make my car improve alot
