i actually have the final prototype on my GSX. i love them. I have installed them on a GST aswell so i know the GST and GSX fit perfect. I don't see why it wouldn't fit the RS/GS. I can't 100% garuntee it but i don't see why they wouldn't fit.

from what they tell me those manifolds will be available soon. We did get their first prototype and it didn't fit perfectly so they decided to do it over. The issue was minimal but calvin seems to be a perfectionalist.

Did you have the same issue that I had? On the flanged manifold, one of the runners was too close to the head flange and it was hard to get a nut on there and another runner was too close to the valve cover, but fit other than that. The T3 one fit great for me.

that was the problem we had. We also had a runner hitting the valve cover. It was just impossible to make work.

I have the T3 manifold, my turbo is a 60-1 with a bullseye housing that has a T3 inlet witht the DSM discharge. Beleive it or not even with all that my stock O2 and down pipe still line up. It's a bit tight and the down pipe sits close to the x-case but it amazes me. I really like the setup.

Martin, does bullseye offer that housing normally? I'm in definite need of one (buying a t3 turbo) and I already have the MR tubular mani. It'd help us all if we could just swap the turbine housing and bolt it up to our o2 housings (plus the fact that I already have a o2 housing custom made to fit the bullseye turbine outlet).

Just a warning, EBStores has active auctions on the 3" MR DP for 89-94AWDs on eBAY and I know for a fact (since I bought one from them and wonderded why after two weeks it had not shipped) that those are on backorder for several more weeks.

I also find it odd that EBStores sells a "different" 89-94AWD downpipe with the same picture used for the MR

yeah, it is a housing that we do sell seperately. Feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail if you want a price.

May want to keep this thread on topic (i.e. MR Downpipes) and not coil springs, exhaust housings or manifolds)

Martin, please use pm for off topic discussions and "vendor annoucements" section for pricing and availibility. This thread should only be about Megan Racing exhaust, mainly feedback from real users. Thank you.

Not to sound like an idiot if it has already been asked, but I didn't want to have to read through 8 pages of material.

Are there any thoughts to include a resonator in this exhaust? What is the estimated price/time of release?

As for the angled muffler, I can't imagine that a slight bend placed right before the muffler would truly hurt the exhaust that much. If it was a very small angle, which is all it would need to take most of the agression out of the angle that the muffler has, it would still have a near 3" effective flow area. All you would need would be to reduce the angle by 30-50% and it would look fine, just like the Apexi.

Nah, the thread is not about the problems associated with the angled muffler...Actually, a lot of people believe that the way it angles actually improves flow since the curve is a very small, but flowing bend leading to a straight-thru exit; rather than most mufflers with a straight outlet that have to make a quick bend to straighten out

The exhaust gasses have already expanded and cooled to the point where a small bend would hardly decrease the overall flow anyway, I hope they changed the angle of that muffler. Doesn't look too bad on a 2gb rear bumper, but i'm sure itd look pretty funny on a talon.

I think it looks pretty good on my 1G Talon

Although not a review thread, the fitment of this piece was WAY BETTER than the BR 2.5" Exhaust it replaced as it includes ALL the OEM hangers. Hopefully my 3" DP comes in soon so can replace the BR Downpipe (also missing the OEM Hanger) so dont' have to worm clamp the DP away from the Xfer case anymore.

since ive read that if you get the catback and the dp you need a test pipe to fill the gap, so does megan have any plans for throwing a cat-back/dp/tp in one packaged deal for the 1g awd? or maybe created the 1g cat elim dp like the 2g's have?

Just my experience, the MR testpipe can be had for ~$40 shipped and is basically one of their SS resonators with a short 3" SS extension with flanges/gaskets/bolts and nuts.

The cat-back alone is pretty loud (to my 36yo ears anyway) but with the resonator test-pipe, it's much more bearable.

Still waiting on 3" MR Downpipe. EBStores said they had the T-Pros version (which they claim is the same exact thing minus the MR Box) in stock if I wanted to substitute

You could get a high-flow cat. That's what I'm probably doing.

Any updates for the 2g cat-back or the revised 2g dp?

Not scortching, but black soot from the use of the 2" silencer that came with the MR muffler. Had to use the Talon as my DD while my TL was in the body shop for repairs and the car kept waking up my 3yo as I left for work at 6am much to my wife's dismay

It is close to the bumper cover, but is likely because my 2.5" BR downpipe does not have any support hangers so it pulls the CB hangers. Still have room to "tweek" the hangers it comes with but want to wait until my MR 3" DP comes (if it ever does )

TP and Cat Back are 3" at both ends. Only the DP (which I dont' have yet) starts at 2.5 at the O2 housing and immediately transitions to 3" the rest of the way
