Here it goes. I am rebuilding the 7-bolt out of my 93 tsi awd. I am putting ARP main and head bolts in it. All of the other mods are going to include MBC, hacked can, 3 inch exhaust, dejon upper and lower intercooler pipes, and their bigger turbo inlet piipe. I want this thing to run high 12's. Is this possible? Or am I wasting my time? I would like to push 18-20 psi is that safe? Please help.

I have run 16-17 PSI with stock injectors, Walbro 255hp, FMIC, S-AFC, exhaust, ect.

Can it be done, Yes. Will you need to be one heck of a good driver. Yes.. People have done it on a stock 14B, but they have also driven it like they stole it!

Not only is it possible, it is likely... If you are not running at least high 12's, then you are doing something wrong.

But I would worry more about engine rebuild... 7bolt motors are tricky to rebuild properly. Make sure that you set the thrust right (critical on all engine and especially critical on 7 bolt motors with ARP studs, which take away alignment feature of stock bolts...) and you might want to use Concept Racing main cap alignment kit.

You'll need more fuel to safely run that much boost. You should get an EGT gauge to make sure you don't blow up your new engine.

Once you get:
-Fuel Pump
-Injectors
-AFC

Then you can boost that high. Check out the chart on this page: fuel chart.

*I just need:
-O2 port, downpipe, and car to be running :), and then I'm going to try it. I'll let you know!
