Ok im rebuilding my engine on my 95 GST, i am putting it back together and wanted to know sense i have a 1g intake manifold and a 2g, should i go ahead and use the 1g one? Or would it do anything without having the head ported to fit?

Different Port sizes between the 1g and 2g intake manifolds, but as with anything...a little porting makes it all better. I am not exactly sure which flows more... but my if my memory serves me right the 1g flows more, but don't quote me on that. Do a search.

The 1G mani flows more than the 2G but the 1G mani ports are bigger than the 2G head ports. This causes a dam that make a big disturbance in the airflow. I think it would be better to use the 2g mani til you can get the head port matched to the 1G mani.

Yes, the 1g intake mani is larger and does flow more; however, when it's put on a 2g head, it requires lots of porting to match. Most people say it's not a good idea. If I were you, I would just do a 1g throttle body swap. It will help with your mid-range power. Up to you.
