I was wondering if I should just get a 6 bolt bare block or just get 6 bolt with everything? Cause I email mitsubishigraveyard and I can get a bare block for $250.00 I don't know how much for a block with everything. I will build the engine over the winter and hope to be able to put it in by the summer. thanks for the help

My advice would be to get everything. I have done several 6-bolt 2G swaps, and there are many 1G parts needed to make the conversion. Such as if you are using a 1G intake and throttle body you need the 1G fuel rail, you need 1G timing gears and components, and 2G mounts. Do some research on what you need, feel free to PM me if you need to.

Negative you dont need the 1g fuel rail. For the timing gears they are the exact same size as the 2g, so those are not needed.

Yes your correct you don't need the cam timing gears themselves, you need the 2g front mount block with the 1g tensioner lever, and tensioner.
Also the dowel pin for locating the crank pully on the crank gear is differnt on 1g's and 2g's so it is helpful to have the correct one. Although it can be modified to work eitherway.

Fuel rails interesting! The orientation of the fuel inlet line flange on a 2g fuel rail is differnt than a 1g. I have had trouble getting some of the 2g rails to clear the TPS sensor, but the 1g rail has always worked for me. The 2g fuel rail clears the 90 style throttle body TPS sensor better.
