my friend just bought a manual boost controller and he wants to know if you can be on a stop letes say on a stop sign and pick up the boost can you tell how much the car is boosting by pushing the gas and see how high the boost gadge goes or would every time you adjust it would he have to run his car and check what he hits. I just want to know because a lot of times people chalenge you on the street and when your on a stop I would like to know how to tune it.

sorry if that was confusing i meant if it can be set when your on a stop or do you have to be running the car.

ermmm - I think she is asking if you can tell how much boost the boost controller is set to by 'reving' the engine. If that was the question then the answer is no. You have to set the boost controller; do a few runs and watch the boost gauge; adjust if needed to the desired boost level. If that is not the question than my 'Hooked on Ebonics' tapes failed me :D

tell him to get an electronic boost controller...u can change the setting while your on a stop sign.
dont know if thats what u mean though:confused:

No you cannot change the boost setting while you are stopped. Unless you happen to have bought one of the new Hallman's (the interior knob one), you have to pop your hood to change the boost. Second, You cannot tell what boost you are running by revving your engine out of gear. If you want to run a certain boost, set your boost controller, then run your car in the highway preferably pushing 3rd gear to find what the boost will go up to on the gauge. That will prettty much stay where it is at any go.
