Ok, when I try to boost anything up around 13+ no matter the rpm at WOT it stutters real hard and sounds almost like a machine gun. Also, when this is happening my a/f guage(i know unreliable) jumps down to say im running very lean. According to my avcr the injection isnt even at 100%. I did a boost leak test and discovered a pin like nosel that is coming out below where the throttle cable(beside where top of upper intercooler piping meets intake mani) has no type of tube on it and air comes out. Im not sure if this is supposed to have some type of connection on it or not. Help! do I have a fuel prob or some type of boost leak?

Have u tried turning down the boost a little bit to see if the problem goes away? Sounds like fuel cut

This is the first step. Is the leak you found bad? If not, this is not your issue. I have had a similar issue in the past where it sounds like a machine gun under full boost. I ended up changing the spark plug wires and I was good to go. How old are your wires? You may also want to change the spark plugs if you have not done so already even before checking the wires since they are cheap. Gap them properly too.

My $0.02.

I agree but would like to add that the age of spark plug wires shouldn't be considered. I had a problem just like you described once and the faulty plug wires were pretty new and in what looked like good condition.

Thanks for the comment. What I meant by my comment on spark plug wire age was that older wires see more risk of failure due to the longer time they have been in service. With that being said, new wires can fail also (even faulty from the factory), but at less of a chance. :thumb:

i know it has nkg or whatever the plugs are called in there right now. i have regapped them a few times before but ill try again soon to see what that does. i have also recently hear an almost spark like electric sound coming from around the plugs when the car is running....this mean bad wires?

--when boost is down the problem isnt as often or as emmense.

At this point I would go ahead and change the plug wires.

Changing the wires to a thicker wire core might help out. But if your car is sounding like a machine gun, there might be other things wrong. Is it a popping sound or clicking sound?

its not a clicking sound, but i regapped the plugs before when the problem was just a little stutter and it helped but only for like a month.

Well here's one of your problems "has no type of tube on it and air comes out." Take a picture of this, and i'll tell u where it should go. When air comes out thats not good.... don't know why ne-one else didn't catch this.......but........ok WTF

found loose hose that seems to go on it. it helped but im gonna do another boost leak test soon just to make sure that there are no more leaks
