I just installed my boost gauge and when I was done one of my belts started squealing BAD. Could this be realted to some sort of vacuum leak, or is it totally unrelated?

unrelated. check the tension on the belts. If it needs so much power that it has a belt there is no way vacume pressure is going to power it.

Seriously tho i would check the tension on the belts you may have accidentily knocked something out of wack and made it's belt loose.

almost has to be a coinkydink. AFAIK, there is no relation to those 2 parts.

Unless you moved something in the install, or got some fluid on the belt.

and this also assumes that the noise is for sure belt squeal. Dress the belts with some WD-40, and see if it goes away.
