boost prob.

i think this is a boost problem....

when i am underboost everything is fine, which leads me to believe it's a boost problem. when i am boostin the car feels like it has no power, i can hear the turbo spool up, and i get a little boost, but then the car starts bouncing, kinda like it's not getting enough fuel. i don't know if it would right to call it a backfire or missfire, but it's like there i no power. when i had a tune up the people said i needed to get a new fuel filter, could this be causing the problem? i don't know if i have any boost leaks and i truthfully don't know how to check if i do. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did your Tune-Up incluse spark plug wires? I would suggest new ones because that sounds a bit like bad plugs wires and/or plugs. I would also suggest you check all of your IC piping to make sure it is all still attached and/or not leaking. It sounds like you may have a Boost leak, if you don't know how to check them you can just loosen all of them and then retighten them down really well. the tune-up included new plugs (bosch), but not wires. i do have a little knick in the wires from the timing belt when the previous owner left the timing belt cover off. i plan on getting new ones thursday. i will check the IC piping tommorow and check for a boost leak.
