Alright last night i got my car running again, put the new timing belt on, put everything back together it was all good. When i take the car for a test drive, i get about 200 feet from my house and i start to hear this weird noise. Its coming from the transmission/clutch area, and it just sounds like something is running into something making it clink. My friend thinks its something to do with the throw out bearing, but i dont understand how that can just come up all of a sudden, i've never had any problems at all with my clutch since i bought the car and i've never noticed it slipping or anything.
Anyways when i have the clutch pedal in more than maybe an inch or so the noise goes away, then if i slowly let the pedal out and engage the clutch it starts making the noise. You can feel it through the pedal, it just feels like something is hitting something else *totally vague i know* but i just have no idea what would cause this and i have absolutely no experience whatsoever in clutches. I wish i could describe the sound better... its like a rapid sort of clicking sound its not a slow knock.
other than that the car ran great with the new t-belt on, and i'm the luckiest mother ####er ever that i didnt bend any valves when my timing jumped 4 teeth and shreaded the belt. But theres always a new problem with my car
