I found a 91 GST/GSX.....for 500bucks...........im trying to do a 6bolt swap and i wanted to find out if it matters if its an auto tranny or manual tranny.I have a 95 Tsi AWD 5spd.The guy says the car needs a turbo and exhaust manifold.Do you guys think its okay for me to get the car and rebuild the engine or keep looking. Thanks

The blocks are the same. Turbo, manifold, and cams are a bit different if memory serves me right. For 500 bucks, its a good deal IMO.

Thanks men.Im going to be upgrading cams, turbo and maybe manifold..but apart from that so it doesnt metter if the car its coming out of is an automatic...Because the car is an automatic but my car is a 5spd

It doesn't matter. I'd assume you'll use your current turbo setup, so that wouldn't matter either. My block is from an auto and my car is a 5-speed... works fine :thumb:
Thanks guys..............I guess ill go ahead and get the car to the shop and start building that engine for summer.Im going to be using a 2.3L stroker kit.Any input will be appreciated....Thanks again
PS..Looking for at least 420-275whp
