I recently bought a polished intake with throttle body. This is for a 1g 6 bolt. I notice that the TB had the four inlets for vac hoses on top. The throttle body that was on the engine (engine apart now) had only 2 inlet hoses. What is the difference with the throttle bodies?

its not a nt vs. turbo because the nt throttle bodies have an edge for the intake to clamp into, and the turbos bolt to the throttle body.

The one on the left is the one I bought, the one on the right is what came with the car. It is a 90. Can you use either one. If not, is the intake manifolds the same. They look the same.

i think the manifolds are the same but im sure the tps is different or in a little different position so you cant use your fuel rail. you need one from a 91-94. im not sure about anything else though.

Question about the vacuum hoses. the egr is blocked off, can you block off any of the others like the purge valve. Also this car came in pieces, where does A1 and A2 go?

The new TB you got is a 91-94, while your old is a 1990. I just swapped to a 91-94 on my 1990 car. Everything is the same minus you must wire for the 91-94 Throttle Position sensor(black sensor on the side.) The difference between the two is that the 91-94 connects on the TPS, while the 90 doesn't. Just extend the 90 wires to the 91-94 TPS. An advantage of your new TB is the shaft seals are the same while the 90's used different sized seals that failed a lot.

Thanks. that is good info you provided. Looking forward to getting this built.
