How does a Lightened Flywheel respon to the 1g DSM's??????? cause i have to do my clutch, and i want to know if i should get it or not? im only planing on doing about 300 or so horse power so i want to know if its needed?

If you have the money, go for it. Otherwise, I'm sure a few other people will comment on their experience with lightened flywheels and such.

OK.

Do you mean an aluminum flywheel or a lightened stock flywheel?

Material doesn't matter as much as the weight. By reducing the rotating mass that the engine has to move allows it to rev faster. The downside to a lightened flywheel is when you are cruising, the car will feel a little twitchy. Since the rotating mass has been lowered the engine will also decelerate faster so any slight movement on the gas pedal will have a more dramatic effect when speeding up or slowing down.

Your engine will rev up and down quicker with a lightened flywheel, but they're not for everyone (and don't even consider getting a lightened stock flywheel!) If you're into drag racing then I wouldn't reccomend it, but if you like driving on road courses then the quick rev up/down will help you match revs when shifting gears.
