Has anybody done this..

TRE says its not accurate but it maybe used..

Im waiting to get some legit thermocouple wire to extend the probe wiring, but for now will settle for speaker wire if its no problem

for those who have used it before and then got legit wiring.. notice a difference in reading/accuracy?

Wow, don't waste your time with that. Lookup how a thermocouple works on howstuffworks.com Just be patient until you get your extension wire and do it right. There is no sense doing the job twice.

You should use the recomended wire guage/length for that specific thermocouple. Any change in length or guage will directly affect the resistance and votage drop needed to provide the accurate readings of that thermocouple.
