Aberdeen,
i went out racing the other night and i turned up my boost controller to like 18 psi off an 16g and i was wondering is there any way to get rid of boost creep!!

to the best of my knowledge, boost creap is caused by your wastegate not opening fully... have you checked the travel of your wastegate lately? (if I am wrong I would appreciate someone letting me know) thanx - :thumb:

Either not opening fully, or not being able to open enough, and therefore not being able to let enough "boost" out to keep your boost stable..

its a brand new turbo it has like a thousand miles on it. and the wastegate is brand new to so how do i get it to open more

you might want to check the travel on the valve... make sure the swing arm isn't bumping anything... I can't think of what that may be... but check to ensure everything is operating properly befor you go spending time and money on somthing that might not be needed...

thanks ill look at that right now ill let you know ! i appreciate all your help

GOOD CALL.... if your exhaust can't flow the excessive air from your wastegate it will back up and cause boost creep... I didn't even think of that... I just assumed that running a 16G you would already have 3" turbo back...

Boost creep simply means the WG passage is not letting enough air through to properly control boost. This is why some of us put larger WG flappers in and open up the passage way.....

if u dont have an aftermarket exhaust, u need one bad, that will definitely cause boost creep...remember more air in more air out.Your stock exhaust sucks, go to a 3inch turbo back system. look also at porting ur 02 housing and exhaust manifold.

I read your mods list... I think 2.5" should be fine with only 18psi on a 16G... but you will at LEAST need to port match your O2 housing, and get a 2.5" downpipe, and either a high-flow cat, or a straight through pipe... once you solve your flow problems... your boost creep will disapear... but I don't know how much boost you can run with only 2.5" turbo back... you should look into a full 3" back system...
