2 weeks ago I just bought my first dsm. Its a 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. It has 102,000 miles and has a bad tps sensor, which im getting replaced. My other car is a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1, but i needed a car for the winter because mustangs handle like shit. I really miss the power of the mach and i would like to know what is the best way to get started on my dsm? i already have a boost controller and am buying a 3" SS turob back buschur exhaust in 4 days. Are there any little tricks that are free that will increase my horsepower?
by the way i chose the eagle talon because one day going to work i see this white tsi so i slow down and rev the mach....he looks over and laughs(thinking to my self he knows hes going to be beat) we hit it, to my amazement he kicked my ASS. i was confused and ashamed at the same time. Can you please help me get my eagle to be faster than my mach. ;) :talon:

I just bought a 98 GSX 3 days ago after a long search(since July). It is absolutely perfect inside and out with every factory option and I paid 3k below book ($8400) with a flawless inspection from a Mitsu dealer and only 66k miles. Now my only problem is getting it to go faster. I have done a little research and have a couple ideas but I figured you guys would know the best "tried and true" parts. Help me out if you can!

Check out the tuning guide on this site

A 1g can be very fast without spending too much cash,

Air intake
exhaust
plugs & wires
boost guage
boost controller
remove honeycombs in MAS = free
UICP = many articles in the tech section on how to make your own
Fuel pump
Port manifold and O2 housing = free if you can do it yourself
Fuel control and injectors if you want to go that far = more money

I am sure that I missed a few things but these options shouldnt run too much depending on what you buy, probably under 1k if you shop used stuff on the trader.

Oh ya and do all your maintanence, timing belt, check for any type of leaks, oil, trans fluid, etc.

2g you have a little more money and work ahead of you to be very fast, check out the tuning guide and do some searches.

Good luck to all and happy boosting :thumb:
