What would the compression ratio be with Weisco 9:1 pistons bored .020 over with a 4-layer head gasket and no milling/decking on the block/head.

I only wanted 8.5/8.8:1 pistons, but they either have 8:1 or 9:1. I'd go elsewhere, but they are only $350 at Buschur and I'm sending my 6-bolt to be machined/assembled there tomorrow.

Is 9:1 too high? I want streetable, but not anything under the 8.5 that was in my 7-bolt. BTW I do not want to use stock 2g pistons, as my block needs to be bored out and the price diff between new .020 2gs and forged is not that great.

Thanks

9:1 is fine .. I am running in that ballpark as well. Mines probably more like 8.8:1 which seems to be a common ratio. Just run 9:1s and an mls headgasket to drop it back down a tad. Even 9:1 is perfectly fine though.

9:1 is pretty damn good. With a mls gasket like 97 said you should sit right around 8.8-8.7 which imo is perfect.

To accuratly know you'd have to cc your head and use the formula for compression ratio.
trying to guess is like pissing in the wind. the combustion chambers are nowhere near the same size, from cylinder to cylinder, head to haed.
