Ok this winter I'm planning on doing some work on the TSi. My current head has 3 studs broken off, horrible leak. My freind gave me a 2G head (low miles) with all the studs. Now I wanted to send it away to do head porting, wich would be better the 1g or 2g? Also I'm putting an FP turbo in, FMIC, 660's, New timing belt, Cams, cam gears, then paint in the spring. What direction should I go in?

1g head definately. When you take your 1G head off compare the sizes of the manifold ports on both sides of the head with the ones on the 2G head. The 1G head sizes are almost twice as big...or so it seems...I would find a nice 2G exhaust manifold though.

Ya I have the DNP header and 2.5in o2 housing. I always thought the 2g was better but owell, I'll port the 1g.
