Seems like a good piece but is it over kill for a unported head/ ported evo3 16G? Should I not bother upgrading my manifold or is the $250 well speant?

I'm only worried about the step from the head to the manifold since I'm not porting the head.

I have one coming with my EVO III 16G, so I will be sure to post on my results with it. I need it cause my 2g manifold has a small crack in it that seems to be growing, so I am doing it with the turbo.

If you already have a 2g manifold that is in good shape, you probably do not need it. If you need a new manifold anyway, I think it's a great option.

I don't need one so I think I'll hold off. Maybe I'll just port the collector to match my turbo, that should be sufficient. Thanks for the replies and I'm looking forward to the review damax03 :thumb:

Not sure if this helps you out at all, but I called Slow Boy and spoke to someone there (don't remember his name) over the phone. I was trying to decide between getting a 2G mani off of the classified section here or go for their Evo 3 mani. They told me typically a ported 2G manifold flows as much as an Evo 3 unported- so the Evo will definitely give you some more head room. Whether or not this is worth the money is up to you- it comes down to what you wanna spend the money on. Hope that gives you a bit more info to work with...

their slowboy manifold is quite a bit bigger then an evo, check out the pics, its got some serious flow

I know this. The question is do I need that flow for my ported E316G when my head is not port matched. Will porting the collector on the 2G manifold be enough or will the evo3 or sbr manifold do me any good?

Just port out your 2g mani and use it. They have been being used forever and have proven to be a worthy setup. No sense in spending all that extra money for the SB one unless you have to replace the manifold no matter what cuz yours is cracked or something.

Im probably going to be getting one, 300 for theirs fully ported and its massive. If you dont got the money or the setup to need it, then i wouldnt worry too much. Shouldnt need unless your already makin some decent power.
