I LIVE IN COLFAX CALF. THIERS A LOT OF HILLS UP HERE AND SOFAR THIS SUMMER MY CARS TEMPATURE GAUGE HAS GOTTEN REALLY CLOSE TO OVER HEATING (TEMP. 80* AND ABOVE) WITH THE A/C ON GOING UP HILLS AND REAGULAR DRIVING.
I"VE HAD MY 94 TSI FOR FIVE SUMMERS AND THE TEMP. GAUGE NEVER HAS GONE PAST HALF WAY UNTAIL THIS SUMMER.
I'M GOING TO FLUSH THE SYSTEM AND CHANGE THE THE THERMOSTAT IS THERE ANY THING ELASE I SHOULD DO,OR ANY SPECIAL STUFF I SHOULD ADD??????
ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT!!!

1st check for any cross contamination of the coolant and oil. (ie ? headgasket)

2nd Replace the radiator cap, if they fail your just blowing coolant out. See if that does it.

If not then check and/or replace your thermostat and flush.

:thumb:

PS: maybe no caps on post........

Also, use a lower gear, higher revs and less boost.

Flush the cooling system. Use distilled water from the grocery store to top-up the coolant, and use a mix of 30% antifreeze in the summer- one jug of pre-mix and topped with distilled will work out fine. Don't use your well water for it.
