wut internals?

alrighty boyz - the donor car has been picked up. 91 laser RS fwd turbo. upper half of the motor is prolly crap with bent valves n what not but either way, im using the block. What are some good internals, and what all should i replace? ( engine is in definite need of a rebuild)

i already read about all of the criticism of swapping into a 1.8 sohc, and i understand the level of difficulty. Im doing this for a few reasons
1. I want to learn how to do custom work, and this is definitly a good way to deal with that
2. Ben with storm chaser street machines in burnsville mn wants to show off what he can do
3. Cost wise, this will STAY CHEAPER than just buying a 1g gst because of the situation i have with the shop, and the donor car i came by.

My knowledge isnt exactly high, this is why im seeking guidance, i already know what ben wants, but hes not a dsm enthusiast So any opinions or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

eagle rods, ross racing pistons, clevlite bearings, balance and knife edge the crank, have the block balanced and blue printed, elimanate the balance shafts, and have the block drilled for better oil flow. the head can be built with 1mm oversized valves, and a set of hks cam and fidanza cam gears. port and polishis is optional on 1g's due to their already oversized intake runners. but be sure to port match the exauhst side of the head to the manifold.

you shouldnt be rebuilding any engines then
