Hi, i was about to buy a K&N filter for my GSX for roughly 50 bucks, and a buddy of mine told me that its really not that big of a deal what cone filter you get. Im saying this because over at autozone they sell em for 20$. So is it really that big of a deal? or is my buddy just an idiot

If your local autozone sells DSM Filters with adapters they will work...But it is a known fact that K&N Filters deliver more whp. :dsm:

erm.... well, it's an advertised factoid. Them tornado intake inserts will give you 20%, too. I seen it on the TV.

K&N were truly hot stuff when they came out. Now even Fram (Air Hogs) is making them.

Any less-effective.... er, less restrictive air filter will let more air through. And a bit more crud.

I just run an eBay K&N ripoff. Seems just fine.
