Right now i am running ~18 psi without any engine management. Im in need of bigger injectors badly but lack the funds. By tuning with an afc and turning the boost down a few psi, will i gain more power than what i am at now with the higher boost?

we cant help you much LOL with out your mods. Your car says just talon TSI and you dont have any mods in your profile that I could see. running 18psi in my opinion on any turbo on the 4g63 with out fuel upgrades is not a good Idea you would atleast need a fuel pump and bigger injectors. I really dont think you'll gain much more power from turning down the boost and tunning the fuel but i could be wrong why dont you just tune the fuel for what your currently running instead.

i guess a AEM ems is outta the question, i would leave it as is until you can get some injectors. just my 2 cents

wow you did some things out of the ordinary. like getting a built engine and what not with out the BPU things that cool though your set up is nice. I would def invest in a S-AFC you can get the 1st gen ones for hella cheap now that the S-AFC II is out. Yea I would turn down the boost to 15 until you got some injectors and some sort of fuel manegment.
