Turbos

I have a 1991 Eclipse GSX and my turbo just went out. This car is all standard and i was wishing that you guys could give me some advice on what kind of turbo to get. I am looking for more power than the standard turbo, but i only have a $630 dollar limit. So give me your best suggestions. (By the way it is a GSX, Turbo, AWD)

The small 16g turbo fits in your price range, is a direct bolt-on and (I would think) provide a good boost in power even on the rest of the stock equipment.

Another possibility is to get a used 14b/16g from www.dsmtrader.com

But I just don't like the idea of buying a used turbo =)

My recommendation to you would be to get a reg. 16G and have it ported for the extra $75.

ONE OTHER SUGGESTION...take a look at the dsmtrader.com and thepartstrader.com if you are interested in a "used" turbo. You will find better deals there. But you will be taking a chance on what you will get...or not get (you have to be careful!).

you can get a good 16g on the www.dsmtrader.com for 4-500 its a good inexpensive turbo upgrade since your turbo is gone

Get a 16G center cartridge for $400. You use you stock turbine housing and just replace your center section. It comes with a warrenty.. MAch V and DSM Performance sell them.
